Pastor Savage finds great joy in faithful marriage to the love of his life, Coretta, in 2010.
Prior to graduation Pastor Savage was awarded the Pastoral Ministry Award for excellence in the study of Pastoral Theology and Pastoral Care to his community. While there he served as the Vice-President and founding member of the Minority Student Fellowship and was a school ambassador for two years.
Pastor Savage graduated from Beeson Divinity School at Samford University with a Master of Divinity in the Spring of 2022. He was ordained in 2017 and began serving as Youth Pastor at the Grove and would later become Executive Pastor in 2020.Ĭurrently along with his responsibilities at Plum Grove, Pastor Savage is a School Social Worker for the Tuscaloosa County Schools, Programs Director for the Citizens Impacting Community Association, member of the 2022 Class of Leadership Tuscaloosa, and an active member of Delta Phi Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Pastor Savage’s parents emphasized the importance of serving in God’s house and he learned sacrificial to give his talents of singing and giving under their watch. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Unity Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Savage was born in Fayette, AL and has always been a son of the Black Baptist tradition. Under the leadership of Pastor Savage, Plum Grove emphasizes spiritual growth and development, dynamic community fellowship, caring for the community at large, and impactful worship. Pastor Savage enthusiastically serves as the Senior Pastor of Plum Grove Baptist Church located in the historic West End of Tuscaloosa, AL. Savage possesses a zeal for the Word of God that is expressed through his love for God’s people.
